El Hilo Musical - Donde la música fluye en el ambiente

Después de ver la película definitivamente es obligatorio bajar el Soundtrack, uno de los grandes fuertes de la misma es definitivamente la musicalización de la misma. En general está compuesto por las recomendaciones que se daban los personajes de Juno (Ellen Page) y Mark (Jason Bateman).

“At one point, I [director Jason Reitman] asked Ellen Page before we started shooting, ‘What do you think Juno listens to?’ And she said, ‘The Moldy Peaches.’ She went on my computer, played the songs, and I fell in love with it. [Screenwriter Diablo Cody] and I discussed putting a Moldy Peaches song in it where the characters would sing to each other. I got in touch with Kimya Dawson of The Moldy Peaches and she started sending me her work, which was beautiful, and that became a lot of the soundtrack.”^[1]

Antes de empezar a grabar la película Jason Reitman preguntó a Ellen Page que creía que Juno pudiera escuchar y ella le dijo que The Moldy Peaches y fue así como gran parte del Soundtrack en su mayoría por música de Kimya Dawson tanto como solista, como sus previos proyectos The Moldy Peaches y Antsy Pants. Además también cuenta con colaboraciones de Belle & Sebastian, Cat Power, Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, entre otros; también contando con el cover de Anyone Else But You de Moldy Peaches interpretado por los protagonistas Michael Cera (Bleeker) y Ellen Page, resultando una muy interesante compilación de folk e indie pop tanto de vieja como de nueva vanguardia.
